Launceston Dentistry
General, restorative and emergency dentistry for Mowbray patients
Looking for a dentist that can take on the whole household rather than sending you across town for half the work? Launceston Dentistry treats patients at every age, from a child's earliest visit through to rebuilding or replacing teeth later on. What's recommended follows your own clinical situation, and the options get set out plainly before anything is booked. New patients can arrange a first appointment at any time.

Care spans preventive, restorative and urgent needs:

A few practical points ahead of your first visit:
Six months is the interval that suits most adults, and it's what your dentist will typically recommend. It isn't fixed, though. Patients with a history of gum disease, dry mouth caused by medication, or a clenching habit are often reviewed sooner, while stable gums and no recent decay may mean visits can be spread further apart.
The interval matters because dental problems build without obvious signs. Decay starts in the contact points between teeth, out of sight and out of reach of a brush, and gum disease can cause bone loss before it becomes uncomfortable. Treatment suitability and results vary between individuals, and your dentist can advise what may be appropriate for your circumstances.
The practice is on Wellington Street in the city centre, roughly five to ten minutes south. Most patients follow the East Tamar Highway down through Invermay and across the Charles Street Bridge into the CBD grid. From the eastern side of the suburb, the Mowbray Link connects onto the same highway run. Regular bus services cover the corridor for anyone not driving, and parking is available a short walk from the practice.
Launceston Dentistry cares for patients across the city's northern suburbs, covering check-ups and hygiene, children's dentistry, fillings, crowns and bridges, implants and emergency treatment. The practice welcomes new patients, claiming happens at the appointment, and payment plan options can be gone over with reception.
